Rihanna’s baby bump was on display at the 2025 Met Gala after she confirmed she’s expanding her family with ASAP Rocky for the third time.
The singer, 37, brought her fashion A-game to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 5, while showing off her interpretation of the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme. Rihanna wore a bump-hugging gray and black gown with pinstripe detailing, a white collar with a maroon polka dot tie, a cropped black jacket and a wide-brimmed black hat. She completed the look with white-and-black brogue booties.
ASAP Rocky, 36, for his part, already walked the red carpet and spoke about how he designed his own black suit.
The appearance comes after sources confirmed to Us Weekly that Rihanna is expecting baby No. 3 with Rocky. Her photographer, Miles Diggs, also confirmed the news with an image of her bump on display. (Diggs has confirmed her pregnancies in the past.)

“It feels amazing, you know,” ASAP Rocky told The Associated Press of their baby announcement while strutting up the steps of the Met. “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”
Rocky served as a Met Gala co-chair this year alongside Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour, while LeBron James is an honorary chair. (Rihanna previously co-chaired the event in 2018 prior to her relationship with Rocky.)

Rihanna and Rocky — who have been dating since 2020 and are parents of sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 20 months — made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala in 2021. The couple then quickly made headlines for their unique ensembles: a black Balenciaga coat dress for her and a colorful ERL quilted blanket look for him.
Two years later, the pair returned to the Met Gala in 2023 while Rihanna was pregnant with their second son. She wowed in a white Maison Valentino gown and an ivory top covered in rosettes. She ultimately removed the top to display her growing baby bump in her form-fitting dress. Rocky, meanwhile, wore a Gucci outfit, complete with a black blazer, white button-down shirt, red plaid pleated kilt and baggy jeans.

That year, Rocky went viral for accidentally facepalming a fan while attempting to enter The Carlyle ahead of the Met Gala. After finding himself among the crowd of onlookers behind a barricade outside the hotel, he used a woman’s shoulder to hoist himself over the barrier, knocking her glasses aside in the process.
“I was gonna be late for the Met Gala,” he explained in an April video for Vogue. “I was trying to get in my room, and this poor young little lady, man, I didn’t even know that I messed up her glasses.”
He added, “To whoever that young lady was. Again, I apologize. I’m so sorry. I ain’t mean to do that, sweetheart. My fault.”
In October 2024, Rihanna confirmed that she would be on hand to support Rocky at the 2025 Met Gala. Despite not having their outfits planned at the time, she told Entertainment Tonight that she was “not worried about” Rocky but instead “worried about what I’m gonna do.”
“I never ask him for help, but he’s always willing to help,” she said of Rocky’s frequent assistance, even with her red carpet ensembles. “You can come to him if you’re an opp and say, ‘Can you help me on my project, give me advice?’ And he will give you advice. I’ve seen it.”
