FYI, Rina Sawayama’s New Album And Voice Projects OTW

BFOZ: What was the process for voicing over that character?

Rina: So I didn’t know this, but with animation all, at least the one I voiced over, there was no visuals in front. It’s literally you’ve got a director on Zoom, all the writers on Zoom, and they’re basically like, “Okay, can you do that a bit faster?”, “Girl, can you do it like this?”.

And so you’re doing loads of different takes, which is a bit different to if you are voicing over films — I think it’s called the ADR process — and you do it exactly to the things [onscreen], so you can imagine.
