Emily Blunt<\/strong><\/a> is channeling her inner Emily Charlton on the The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em> set.<\/p>\n

Blunt, 42, turned heads in New York City on Tuesday, July 29, when she was spotted filming the upcoming movie while sporting a revived red hairstyle. On set, Blunt rocked a black-and-white outfit with a pair of sunglasses and the character\u2019s signature red locks.<\/p>\n

Blunt costars Anne Hathaway <\/strong>and Meryl Streep<\/strong> have also been spotted shooting scenes<\/a> for the long-awaited sequel to 2006\u2019s The Devil Wears Prada<\/em>. The cast starred in the original film, which centered around Hathaway\u2019s Andy Sachs, who was hired as an assistant to fashion editor Miranda Priestly (Streep). The movie also featured Blunt as an assistant, Stanley Tucci<\/strong> as an art director and Adrian Grenier<\/strong> as Sachs\u2019 less-than-supportive boyfriend.<\/p>\n

While Blunt gushed on The View<\/em> in November 2022 that she would be part of a second movie \u201cin a heartbeat,\u201d she seemingly changed her mind two years later. In February 2024, Blunt claimed that there had \u201cnever\u201d been much movement about creating a second film and noted that the cast is \u201cgood\u201d with the first movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes things should be cherished and preserved in this bubble and it\u2019s OK,\u201d Blunt explained during an appearance on the \u201cHappy Sad Confused\u201d podcast at the time. \u201cAnd I think \u2014 didn\u2019t Meryl say something funny about it? They asked her about it, \u2018Would she ever do a sequel?\u2019 and she went, \u2018Yeah, if I don\u2019t have to lose the weight.\u2019 But I think she said \u2018the f***ing weight.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Nearly two decades after the OG movie\u2019s release, news broke that Blunt, Hathaway, Streep and Tucci would be reprising their roles in The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em>. Grenier, however, is not returning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tEmily Blunt is remaining tight-lipped about the potential of a Devil Wears Prada sequel, but she\u2019s on-board with the idea. \u201cThere [are] rumblings,\u201d Blunt, 41, said on Thursday, December 5, at the Red Sea International Film Festival, per The Hollywood Reporter. \u201cThere is stuff churning around.\u201d The Oppenheimer star noted that she wasn\u2019t sure whether [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Several new faces are reportedly joining the cast in The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em>, including Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> as Miranda\u2019s husband. Variety<\/em> reported in June that Lucy Lucy Liu, Pauline Chalamet, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Conrad Ricamora, Helen J. Shen, Caleb Hearon<\/strong> and Simone Ashley<\/strong> will also make appearances.<\/p>\n
