2025 has been brutal when it comes to our f<\/a>avorite TV shows getting canceled.<\/a><\/p>\n Netflix cut ties with Girls5eva<\/em> after saving it from cancellation<\/a>. The musical comedy initially premiered on Peacock in 2021 and followed four women who were part of a girl group. After becoming a one-hit-wonder, the former friends reunited later in life to try to find musical success again.<\/p>\n Girls5eva<\/em> was renewed for a second season but Peacock didn\u2019t pick up more<\/a> seasons. The show moved to Netflix for season 3, which was ultimately its final season.<\/p>\n Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell <\/strong>and Ren\u00e9e Elise Goldsberry<\/strong> made up the show\u2019s main cast. After its second cancellation<\/a>, Philipps released an emotional statement.<\/p>\n \u201cI am forever grateful for this incredible show and these girls that became my sisters5eva, for Netflix giving us a chance to sing together a little bit longer and for everyone at Universal and Peacock who rooted so hard for our show,\u201d the actress wrote via Instagram. \u201cAnd of course the genius of Meredith and Jeff and Eric and my patron saint Tina Fey.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cI honestly don\u2019t know how or what i would be without this show and the endless joy it brought me in the darkest time of my life. i really really love what i do. and sometimes it feels almost impossible. anyway, isn\u2019t that just like everything good in life? love you 5eva\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n
