Rachael Leigh Cook<\/strong> <\/a>is taking a leaf out of her She\u2019s All That<\/em> character\u2019s style book.<\/p>\n

The actress, who portrayed Laney Boggs in the iconic 90s teen movie<\/a>, stepped out in a chic monochrome ensemble during a shopping trip in Burbank in California on Wednesday, May 14.<\/p>\n

For the low-key outing, Cook, 45, paired a white knitted tank with wide leg cropped jeans and casual baseball-style sneakers. Cook added a more stylish version of Laney-esque glasses to complete the look.<\/p>\n

Cook played artsy loner Laney opposite Freddie Prinze Jr.\u2019s<\/strong> Zack Siler, alongside Matthew Lillard<\/strong>, Jodi Lyn O\u2019Keefe, Kieran Culkin, Anna Paquin, Elden Henson, Gabrielle Union<\/strong>, the late Paul Walker<\/strong> and more in the 1999 film.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tShe\u2019s All That\u2019s 1999 release embodied all things \u201890s, from campus DJs and poetry slams to choreographed prom dances and girl next door romances. More than two decades after it hit theaters, fans are still rooting for Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) and Zack Siler (Freddie Prinze Jr.), many wondering if their romance lasted after [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In an exclusive interview<\/a> with Us Weekly<\/em> in November 2022, Cook reflected on aspects of the film that didn\u2019t age well past the 90s.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing that\u2019s funny about that movie \u2014 \u2019cause I let my daughter, who is very recently 9, see it \u2014 I was like, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything too inappropriate in there, but some of the language that they use to talk about women\u2026\u201d she told Us.<\/em><\/p>\n

She added:\u00a0 \u201cI realize that it\u2019s about Freddie [Prinze Jr.\u2019s] character sort of going on a journey of opening his mind. And people were different than these popular crowd kids, but it is really pretty disparaging and disrespectful. Like, there\u2019s body-shaming and other things that I\u2019m like, \u2018La la la Charlotte, I don\u2019t want you even hearing this.\u2019 I\u2019m not embarrassed to be associated with the movie. And it was another time. But it\u2019s not great at points. There\u2019s stuff in there that\u2019s like, it\u2019s a little tough to defend in today\u2019s day.\u201d (As well as Charlotte, now 11, Cook and ex Daniel Gillies<\/strong> are also parents of son Theo, 9.)<\/p>\n
