According to People<\/em><\/a>, the lawsuit, filed by Diaw in November 2023, accused Brown of \u201cbeating\u201d him with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila. In the suit, Diaw alleged that Brown \u201ccontinued to ruthlessly stomp\u201d on him for \u201c30 seconds,\u201d and he \u201cended up in the hospital with lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg\u201d as a result.<\/p>\n Diaw further claimed that he suffered \u201ccrushing blows\u201d to the head, leaving him unconscious, and he was left with \u201cpermanent\u201d damage and \u201csevere emotional distress\u201d from the alleged attack, according to the lawsuit.<\/span><\/p>\n Yes, at the time of publication, Brown is still in custody with Metropolitan Police. Per The U.K. Sun<\/em><\/a>, Met Police did not initially disclose Brown\u2019s name but confirmed that a 36-year-old male \u201cwas arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May [2025] on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe has been taken into custody where he remains,\u201d the police statement read. \u201cThe arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. \u2026 The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.\u201d<\/p>\n One day later, Brown appeared in Manchester Magistrates\u2019 Court, where he faced one count of causing grievous bodily harm to a person, according to CNN<\/a>. He was ordered to be held until his next hearing in London on June 13, 2025, which is the day he\u2019s supposed to perform in Frankfurt, Germany, for his tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n Judge Joanne Hirst rejected Brown\u2019s bail request after prosecutor Hannah Nicholls pointed out that the alleged crime was \u201cextremely serious,\u201d per CNN.
