But now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/motor\/alex-palou-driver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex Palou<\/a> is the favorite. He moved to 11\/2 from 5\/1 after the qualifying rounds and from 10\/1 over the last three months.<\/p>\n<p displaynav=\"true\" class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-24ed9219=\"\">Palou started the year off in dominant fashion, winning four of the first five races of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<p displaynav=\"true\" class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-24ed9219=\"\">The reigning Indy 500 champion is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/motor\/josef-newgarden-driver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Josef Newgarden.<\/a> He&#8217;s fifth on the board, shifting to 15\/2 from 6\/1.<\/p>\n<p displaynav=\"true\" class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-24ed9219=\"\">One of the biggest moves was rookie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/motor\/robert-shwartzman-driver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert Shwartzman.<\/a> After securing the pole, he moved to 13\/2 from 40\/1, as he rounds out the top three.<\/p>\n<p displaynav=\"true\" class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-24ed9219=\"\">Another big mover was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nascar\/kyle-larson-driver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle Larson<\/a>. He dropped to 18\/1 from 10\/1 after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/stories\/motor\/kyle-larson-indy-500-double\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">qualifying 21st for the race<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p
