Scott Adams<\/strong>, the writer and illustrator of the Dilbert<\/em> comic strip, revealed that he has terminal prostate cancer.<\/p>\n

Adams, 67, shared the news Monday, May 19, during a YouTube<\/a> livestream while sharing his sympathies with former President Joe Biden<\/strong>, who announced his own prostate cancer diagnosis<\/a> on Sunday, May 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have the same cancer that Joe Biden has. I also have prostate cancer that has also spread to my bones,\u201d Adams said. \u201cSo, my life expectancy is, maybe this summer. I expect to be checking out from this domain sometime this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams went on to share how his cancer diagnosis has impacted his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe disease is already intolerable,\u201d he said. \u201cI can tell you that I don\u2019t have good days. If you\u2019re wondering, \u2018Hey Scott, do you have any good days?\u2019 Nope. Every day is a nightmare and evening is even worse.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m always in pain,\u201d he explained, adding that he uses a walker to move around. \u201cThe pain moves around different parts of my body.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s basically intolerable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams said the diagnosis is \u201cold news\u201d to him but acknowledged that his fans might be shocked to hear about his cancer for the first time.<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s office announced on Sunday, May 18, that the former U.S. president has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. \u201cLast week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,\u201d said a statement. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve just sort of processed it,\u201d he said. \u201cIt just sort of is what it is. I have to say that everybody has to die, as far as I know. It\u2019s kind of civilized that you know about how long you have, so you can put your affairs together and make sure you\u2019ve said your goodbyes, and done all the things you need to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you had to pick a way to die, this one\u2019s really painful \u2014 really, really painful \u2014 but it\u2019s also kind of good that it gives you enough time while your brain is still working to wrap things up,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Adams\u2019 popular Dilbert<\/em> comic strip, first published in 1989, was syndicated in hundreds of newspapers, including The Washington Post<\/em>. It was dropped<\/a> in April 2023 following the illustrator\u2019s controversial opinions about race on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Biden\u2019s office said the former president had been diagnosed with an \u201caggressive\u201d form of prostate cancer.<\/p>\n
