Jessica Biel<\/strong> <\/a>brought a unique take to her audition with Ryan Gosling<\/strong><\/a> for Nicholas Sparks<\/strong>\u2019 The Notebook.<\/i><\/p>\n

Reflecting on the experience during the Wednesday, May 21, episode of The View<\/em><\/a>, Biel, 43, revealed that she was also \u201ccovered in blood\u201d for her screen-test with Gosling, 44.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m racking my brain to make sure I didn\u2019t accentuate this story,\u201d Biel quipped. \u201cI was shooting The Texas Chainsaw Massacre <\/i>[when] I was super young.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Biel, she was still wearing the fake blood when she went to read for the role<\/a> in the 2004 romantic drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was going to be the greatest option for me in my career,\u201d Biel recalled. \u201cRyan and the director, [Nick Cassavetes<\/strong>], came to my trailer. They came to us on location, and we auditioned in my trailer at work \u2014 and I didn\u2019t get it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cIn my mind, I just remember having blood on me and being in that white tank top. [I] took my cowboy hat off and was, like, \u2018OK, I\u2019d love to fall in love with you. Let\u2019s do this.\u2019 It was [a] very strange, very Hollywood moment<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gosling portrayed Noah Calhoun in the feature film<\/a>, starring opposite Rachel McAdams<\/strong> as leading lady Allie Hamilton. While Biel didn\u2019t get the part, she did end up falling in love offscreen with now-husband Justin Timberlake<\/strong><\/a>, who coincidentally has his own association with Gosling.<\/p>\n

Timberlake, 44, and Gosling both got their start<\/a> on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club <\/i>in the early 1990s.<\/p>\n

\u201cFunny enough, his mother had to keep her job in Canada [during] the second year that we were on the television show, and my mom was his guardian for, like, six months,\u201d Timberlake previously said on <\/a>The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/a> <\/i>in 2011. \u201cWe actually lived together \u2026 [and] we were probably a little bit closer than the rest of the kids [who] were on the show just because we had to share a bathroom.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video , which was published by the Daily Mail on Monday, October 23, featured the singer sobbing as she read lines with an off-camera Ryan Gosling. (The 2004 romantic period drama starred [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the time, Timberlake gushed that Gosling was \u201cone of the best actors of our generation.\u201d<\/p>\n
