Naomi Watts<\/strong><\/a> and ex Liev Schreiber<\/strong><\/a> reunited to celebrate son Sasha\u2019s prom night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Watts, 56, took to Instagram<\/a> on Monday, May 26, and shared a snap of herself smiling with Schreiber, 57, and 17-year-old Sasha, who wore a black suit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo proud of you,\u201d the star of Feud: Capote vs. the Swans<\/i> wrote in her post, tagging Sasha.<\/span><\/p>\n

Watts posted other shots of Sasha and his classmates all dressed up for their big night.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhile Liev Schreiber has taken on many impressive roles onscreen through the years, nothing can top becoming a parent. Schreiber and actress Naomi Watts, who were together for over a decade, welcomed son Sasha and daughter Kai in 2007 and 2008, respectively. While Schreiber and Watts split in 2016, they always kept coparenting at the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Watts and Schreiber dated for more than a decade from 2005 to 2016. In addition to Sasha, the twosome also share 16-year-old daughter Kai. (Schreiber has since moved on with Taylor Neisen<\/strong>, whom he married in 2023, while Watts tied the knot with Billy Crudup<\/strong> that year.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past few months, we\u2019ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship,\u201d they told Us Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a> in a joint statement at the time of their split.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then, the pair have remained committed to coparenting their children.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always hard, you know? You build a life with someone and things change<\/span><\/a>. And I think the way that we\u2019ve looked at it is that we\u2019ll always be partners and that\u2019s what kind of keeps us together and keeps us amicable,\u201d Schreiber said on Sunday Today With Willie Geist<\/i> in 2018. \u201cBut I think we\u2019re more than that, I think we also genuinely really care about each other.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNaomi Watts and Liev Schreiber dated for 11 years before breaking up, and they have since remained supportive coparents. \u201cWe\u2019re doing things very differently,\u201d Watts told PorterEdit in August 2019. \u201cI\u2019m pretty proud of us, corny as that may sound. We\u2019ve made it our absolute priority to be good and kind to each other and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Schreiber noted at the time: <\/span>\u201cIt\u2019s important to support each other, you know? It\u2019s really important. I was making some jokes this morning at breakfast about mommy with the [kids], and their eyes light up when I talk about her. Earlier this year, Watts and Schreiber attended the 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards alongside Sasha. Watts walked the red carpet with her son<\/a>, and later, Sasha sat next to his dad \u2014\u00a0a nominee for his role in Netflix\u2019s The Perfect Couple<\/i> \u2014\u00a0when he won the award for <\/span>Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to my beautiful wife, Taylor [Neisen], and my son, Sasha, for convincing me to come,\u201d Schreiber joked in his acceptance speech, which 32-year-old Neisen filmed via her smartphone. \u201cI told them that there\u2019s no way on God\u2019s Earth in that company that I would win this award.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Watts, for her part, was up for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for her performance in Feud<\/i>. When Schreiber and\u00a0<\/span>Neisen welcomed daughter Hazel in September 2023, Watts shared in the couple\u2019s joy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
