Tristan Kern de Gonzales<\/strong> is demanding justice in the wake of his husband\u2019s death.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cJonathan Joss<\/strong> is my husband. I don\u2019t say \u2018was\u2019 because he will always be my husband. He will always be the love of my life,\u201d Kern de Gonzales stated via TikTok<\/span><\/a> on Wednesday, June 4.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said he\u2019s \u201cnot very familiar with TikTok\u201d or \u201cthe spotlight,\u201d but decided to launch the account @justiceforjoss to keep Joss\u2019 memory alive. He said that he\u2019d continue to talk about \u201cwhat happened on the day of my husband\u2019s death,\u201d and will also share \u201ceverything about Jonathan and everything that he stood for.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He added, \u201cWe\u2019re gonna laugh together. We\u2019re gonna cry together. We\u2019re gonna be angry together.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tA neighbor of Jonathan Joss is recounting the tragic final moments of his life after an alleged altercation in San Antonio, Texas, led to the actor\u2019s death at age 59. \u201cJohn is ranting and raving and a car pass[es] by and stops in front of John,\u201d the neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, exclusively told [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kern de Gonzales thanked followers for \u201cthe outpouring of love and support,\u201d and declared that he\u2019s \u201cnot going to let the SAPD or anyone else silence the fact that this was a hate crime, and I just won\u2019t be silenced.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI may not be as loud as my husband, but I carry his strength with me. I won\u2019t stop fighting for what I know is right and for my love.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

News broke on Monday that Joss was killed after an alleged altercation<\/span><\/a> with a neighbor in San Antonio, Texas. Authorities were dispatched on Sunday, June 1, to a shooting where they found Joss lying \u201cnear the roadway.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Parks and Recreation<\/i> alum<\/a> was pronounced dead at the scene when paramedics arrived. Officers detained their suspect, Sigfredo Ceja<\/strong>, after he initially fled the scene in a vehicle. Ceja was booked for murder, with Kern de Gonzales claiming the incident was the result of a hate crime.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tParks and Recreation fans have mourned the deaths of some of the show\u2019s most memorable cast members \u2014 and their loved ones \u2014 over the years. NBC viewers tuned in weekly to watch the mockumentary series, which aired from 2009 to 2015, about employees working for the parks department in the fictional town of Pawnee, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cOur investigation has found no evidence whatsoever to indicate that Mr. Joss\u2019s murder was related to his sexual orientation,\u201d the San Antonio Police Department said in a statement on June 3. \u201cWe take such allegations very seriously and have thoroughly reviewed all available information. Should any new evidence come to light, we will charge the suspect accordingly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hours after the tragedy, Kern de Gonzales responded via Facebook, writing that he and Joss \u201cwere involved in a shooting while checking the mail at the site of our former home. That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
