Nicole Scherzinger<\/strong> <\/a>won her first Tony Award <\/a>for her show-stopping performance as Norma Desmond in the acclaimed revival of Sunset Blvd.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, I just have to thank God for carrying me every step of the way. I give you all the glory,\u201d Scherzinger, 46, said in her acceptance speech on Sunday, June 8. \u201cY\u2019all know this Broadway schedule is hardcore. I got to keep it real. \u2026 I\u2019m so honored to be recognized alongside these exceptional warrior women in this category. I want to thank all of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scherzinger was nominated against Megan Hilty, Audra McDonald, Jasmine Amy Rogers<\/strong> and Jennifer Simard<\/strong> for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical trophy.<\/p>\n

\u201c[I\u2019m] so proud to represent,\u201d Scherzinger gushed. \u201cI want to thank my mom, who had me at 18 and gave everything up for me. My dad [and] my sister \u2026 who instilled in me an unshakable faith. My ohana<\/i>, my family, all 5,000 of you. You know that I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBroadway\u2019s biggest names showed up and showed out at the 2025 Tony Awards. The 78th annual Tony Awards were held at New York City\u2019s Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8, where\u00a0Ariana DeBose,\u00a0Jessica Vosk,\u00a0Megan Hilty\u00a0and more Great White Way standouts slayed the red carpet. DeBose, 34, sashayed down the red carpet in a silky, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Scherzinger further thanked her fianc\u00e9, Thom Evans<\/strong>,<\/a> \u201cwho believes in me when I forget to believe in myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the former Pussycat Dolls singer broke down in tears, she also acknowledged her Sunset Blvd. <\/i>team. (The show also won Best Revival of a Musical on Sunday.)<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been such an honor to create with you,\u201d she added, before mentioning her onstage leading man. \u201cTom Francis<\/strong>, thank you for letting me sever your head<\/a> every single night \u2014 and every performance. The 78th annual ceremony was held at New York City\u2019s Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8, and emceed by Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, who previously won a Tony Award in 2016 for her leading role [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Scherzinger also profusely thanked the show\u2019s director, Jamie Lloyd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
