In an interview with <\/span>People<\/span><\/em>, the actor revealed, \u201cI have been diagnosed with ALS.\u201d <\/span>According to the Mayo Clinic, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) \u201c<\/span>is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes loss of muscle control. I think that as a female you need to be able to always take care of yourself and never depend on a man. I\u2019m going back to work and I think it\u2019s partly because I want my daughters to see me work.
