Bobby Berk<\/strong><\/a> is breaking down his earnings from his six-year stint on Queer Eye<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe first two seasons, I definitely lost money being on the show,\u201d Berk, 43, claimed on the Wednesday, June 25, episode of the \u201cNetworth and Chill\u201d<\/a> podcast. \u201cThey were paying us basically nothing. The amount of money that I was losing from not running my company and being gone, because we had to move away.<\/p>\n

Berk noted that he was away from his company for five months and then was on \u201cconstant press tours,\u201d which he called \u201cgreat.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSeasons 3 and 4, I probably broke even,\u201d he said. \u201cTo be frank, they never really paid us well, compared to what they pay scripted stars. I mean, we made a single-digit percentage.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider notes that the reason for Berk\u2019s departure was \u201cbecause he wasn\u2019t vibing with the cast.\u201d Berk, 42, was an OG member of the Fab Five on the rebooted version of Queer Eye, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Berk, however, noted that there was an upside to appearing on the Netflix series.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, what it did was open up doors for working with brands, working with companies, things like that,\u201d he said. \u201cI remember over the years, fans would get annoyed with the Fab Five because we were often promoting brands, promoting companies, doing brand partnerships. They\u2019re like, \u2018So sick of this!\u2019 And we\u2019re like, \u2018Well, girl, we don\u2019t make money off the show. This is our form of income. How do you think we continue to do the show?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Now that it\u2019s all said and done, Berk admitted that the exposure was \u201cabsolutely\u201d worth it. Berk announced his exit<\/a> from Queer Eye<\/em> in November 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye,\u201d he wrote via Instagram at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye<\/em> is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days after the upload, a source exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> that Berk\u2019s exit was \u201cbecause he wasn\u2019t vibing with the cast<\/a>.\u201d The insider added, \u201cThere were many challenges with scheduling [and] there was a loss of interest from Bobby filming the show. The network and the cast thought it was time to bring in fresh blood. His heart was not in it, and the rest of the cast started to resent him because of that.\u201d<\/p>\n
